Oreo balls are a spectacular dessert made with this famous cookie, crushed and mixed with Philadelphia cheese and finally dipped in white or dark chocolate. - About 32 Oreo cookies (300g)
- 300g cream cheese, Philadelphia type
- 400g of white, dark, milk chocolate
How to make homemade oreo balls
Crush the cookies, with the cream included. With our hands, we break them a little and put them in a grinder, blender, food processor or the instrument you have at home to grind food.
Grind until a kind of very fine grit remains.
Put the cookie in a large bowl and add the Philadelphia cheese, mix both ingredients well with a spoon or fork.
We make small balls with the dough. About a tablespoon in size, more or less. That they are not too big because since they have to be bathed in chocolate afterwards, they will grow a little more
As we finish the balls, we place them on a tray with parchment paper, so the balls do not stick.
Put the tray with the oreo balls in the freezer and leave it for an hour.
After some time, we melt the chocolate in a bain-marie or microwave and bathe the oreo balls well. Do this step quickly because otherwise, the balls will melt in the hot chocolate.
Once each ball is bathed, we return it to the baking paper. And once we have finished with all of them, we put them in the fridge for about three more hours before being able to eat them.
As a result, we will have crispy oreo balls on the outside due to the chocolate being very fluffy and tasty. So you have to prepare them!
Cheesecake recipe without cold bake
The no-bake cheesecake is a classic among the classics. A cold cake is a great idea to prepare as a dessert, as a birthday cake, or for a party. It is very easy to make and with simple ingredients. One of those recipes that we like. To prepare this no-bake cheesecake, we will need these ingredients:
Ingredients for 8 people:
- 100g of cookies
- 50g of butter
- 500g of cream cheese type Philadelphia
- 500g whipping cream
- 100g of sugar
- One envelope of curd for desserts
- 250g strawberry jam
How to make the easy no-bake cheesecake:
To begin, we prepare the base of our cake. Then, in a mixing glass, we put the cookies cut into small chunks and with the help of a mixer, we crush them. Then, add the melted butter and mix with a spoon. Ultimately, we have to have a texture similar to wet sand.
Introduce this mixture into a removable mould and spread it well over the entire surface. We crush it with a glass or a spoon. It must be very compact and without free gaps, especially around the edges. This base will be the one that holds our cheesecake without an oven. So put it in the fridge while we continue with the next step.
In a saucepan, put the cream cheese, cream and sugar. Let’s mix while we heat over low heat. Don’t let it boil. The idea is that the ingredients melt and integrate well with each other.
Next, it’s time to add the curd. Next, we do it following the manufacturer’s instructions. Next, mix again briefly so the curd is well integrated with the rest of the ingredients.
Let’s pour this mixture over the biscuit base we had prepared, which will already be somewhat cold and more compact after being in the fridge.
After those 10 minutes of rest, we return the cheesecake without an oven to the fridge. Now we leave it here until it sets completely. Minimum 4 hours, but if you leave it for a whole day, the better. It will be richer and will have settled better.
Finally, all that remains is to spread it, on its surface, with strawberry or raspberry jam. If it costs you a bit, you can heat it to liquefy it more. It is just pouring it on its surface. We wait for it to cool down again and unmold.
